The 14" S-style drum hoop is 2,3mm thick chromed steel. It has 8 holes for tension rods, suitable for snare drum. The S-style triple flanged hoop has the upper flange bent inward. Therefore it's also called "stick saver hoop". These hoops enable an open sound with long sustain.
